It’s been quite around the blog lately. Have not had a chance to go out and fish!!!! But I got something last weekend that changed my outlook on these dismal weeks….
So it looks like my family got me what I really wanted for the B-day (oh yeah, this ole’ man got 1 year older last week). I’m glad they got me them but I think they are just adding fuel to the bait monkey. I’m looking at purchasing a Shimano Citica Reel and Extreme XPS Rod (MH) Combo; it’s on sale at BPS for $139.00. If anyone has some comments (whether good or bad) on this reel/rod, please let me know.
I also need to pick up some other things but I won’t go into detail until I actually get out of there.

I think that will be a solid combo, the Citica is rock solid and the BPS rods always seem good and fair value.

Thanks for the comments Rich. I’ve also had good runs with BPS rods and Shimano speaks for itself. I’ll probably be picking it up after the holidays, can’t wait!
