Ok, not so much turkey fishing but Happy Thanksgiving!
On my previous post, I mentioned that I had received the lures from BPS $5 for 5 promo. I had some morning time and wanted to test them out. Unfortunately, the cold front we received this week turned the bite off.
The temperature was a cool 60 degrees and I literally tried everything in my tackle box. Of course, I started off with those new lures; Topwater with the BPS XPS Lazer Eye Extreme Slim Dog; Flippin with the Stacey King’ Lazer Eye finesse jig and a Bassmaster crankbait. It was a hard, windy morning. In addition, I also tried the XRap, senko, finesse worm and grub. Was out a total of 3 hours with not so much as a bite. I will have a review on these lures within the next two outing reports.
I was a little discouraged but knowing that I can try them out again tomorrow or Sunday (and the temperature will rise back to its norm), I’m not doing so bad. Needless to say that I am one of those lucky “have to work” people on Friday but don’t mind too much as traffic should be lite. It’s just getting up after Thanksgiving dinner and drinks.

at least you were able to fish, not like us up north. I hope everyone had a nice thanksgiving.
I have never been fishing in my life.
Hopefully I will get a chance to at some point before I die though, seems relaxing.
