Peacocks galore

On this episode of my quick trips, I stumbled across a little lake where the shoreline has several tree brushes making a huge covering for the bass to relax from this nasty hot weather we’ve been having lately (even though it was so early).

You guys are probably tired of it, but it is definitely my GO TO bait; the trusty X-Rap went in first, even before the top water. Apparently, there was a nice group of them a few feet from where I was. Luckily, they didn’t notice me creep up. I casted far away from them, jerking the bait closer to there vicinity. Man, it was a free-for-all. If words could describe the erratic behavior of these Peacocks. They would slam against each other so as to not let the other one grab the tasty morsel (bait). Finally, after all was said and done, I caught a few nice Peacock’ within an hours time. This was fantastic as I only had limited time.
