No luck in the salt

Well I was fortunate enough to go saltwater fishing (well overdue) this past weekend and I must admit, I missed it. There is something about the sea air that I can’t explain but it definately puts you in the tranquility zone…

Location: Google MapsGoogle EarthMultimap.comMSN Virtual Earth

Lure Selection:

  • Redfish Magic
  • Live bait

I’m posting this a tad bit late (3 days +) but I was seriously sick until today. Got there at about 7am; stupid me thinking it was 6am as I did not wind the watch the night before for daylight savings. There were about 4 other fisherman already there, but I was able to find a nice little spot with great potential. It took me a few minutes to rig the rods (I don’t know why I waited till then to do it). Needless to say that it was a very short trip (3hrs.) and I was not able to land anything. However, the other fisherman had landed a nice 30″ snook on live bait and a small baracuda.

I definately need to come back here with more time. Let’s see if I can plan something with a few friends sometime next month.

Absolutely! I’d rather befishing than working (even if I’m not catching)…

You are right about that, you can’t go to long with out it.

You have a great blog here! I’m definitely going to bookmark you!

I have a Pier Fishing Guide site. It pretty much covers pier fishing related stuff.

Check it out if you get time ;)

    I love to saltwater fish!
